Terms And Conditions Reference

If a database or group is protected by special Terms and Conditions, the requester is required (by law) to specify what exemption is being claimed for access to the information. The API requires this exemption to be passed as an extra parameter to the search and detail requests.

This parameter is structured such that when sending as a GET request the string would be 'tacDMV=' followed by the actual exemption being used. For example, a database protected by DPPA restrictions would require something like "tacDMV=DPPA-01" or "tacDMV=DPPATX-01" or "tacDMV=DPPAFL-01" to be passed as part of the request.

Only specific agreements can be claimed for specific databases and we recommend you log onto PublicData.com to see what exact DPPA restrictions are necessary for any particular publication. See descriptions below for a current list of specific DPPA protections. In addition, high volume access to protected data is restricted until special authority has been requested and given (contact support if you need high volume access)
