Below is a list of the possible types of data that can be used when searching on an individual databases or a group of databases. PublicData recently converted all searches to "advanced" searches and when using the API you must specify "advanced" for the search type. In addition, the API requires an asiname which defines what sub-type of data is being search. The following is a list of asiname names that are available on PublicData. There are a limited number of asiname searches available for any given database and only one asiname available for any given group.A database may have multiple search type but a group will generally only have one.

main (advanced)
Any word or word combinations related to a record in the database.
name (advanced)
Any part of name or combinations like last name, first name, and a middle name.
dob
A dob search stands for Date of Birth. It has one part in date format YYYYMMDD(p1)
vin
This stands for Vehicle Identification Number. It has a single part the number(p1)
zip
This stands for Zip Code. It has one part the number(p1)
dlnum
It stands for Drivers License Number. It has a single part the number(p1)
plate
This is for License Plate searches. It has a single part the license number(p1)
license
This is for Professional Licenses. It has a single part the license number(p1)
serialnum
This is an aircraft's serial number. It has a single part the serial number(p1)
air_model
This is an aircraft's model number. It has a single part the model number(p1)
eng_model
This is an model number for an aircraft's engine. It has a single part the model number(p1)
n_number
This is for the aircraft's n number. It has a single part the number(p1)
n_num_chg
This is for an aircraft's n number that has been changed. It has a single part the number(p1)
ssn
This is for social security numbers. It has a single part the number(p1)
selfrom
This searchtype essentially means it is unsearchable. It stands for a Select From type. This should generally only apply to groups of databases.
