New Plans and Pricing

Publicdata.com is committed to providing the best possible service at the most affordable pricing in the industry. More than 1,500 new criminal databases have been added to PublicData.com in the last 6 months as we continue to improve our offerings and aggressively pursue opening government records to our customers.

PublicData.com has avoided price increases almost entirely since the company's inception (28 years ago) with the only increase occuring 8 years ago. Continuing cost increases have made a second price increase necessary and, effective Dec 7, 2022, existing plans will be migrated to new pricing. Our commitment to providing the best possible value to our subscribers means your cost per look up will be improving for many pricing plans and will be less than 5 cents per lookup for all plans.

We appreciate each and every one of our subscribers and thank you all for using PublicData.com.

Update To DPPA Rules In Texas

The 2021 Texas legislature has changed the law regarding how Texas Motor Vehicle and Driver's License Information may be accessed.

We will be reaching out to Texas DPS & Texas DMV to confirm that we are in compliance with the new access law and you may see some updated changes in the future.

One requirement in the new law is that we must record the business name, along with its approved reason, for searches made on the Texas Drivers' License or Motor Vehicle databases.

If you do not have a business name on file, we will prompt you to update this before you search on these databases.

Billing Statement Update

As of July 30, 2020 PublicData.com will no longer offer postal delivery of billing statements. For business accounts who have been receiving invoices via the postal service, billing statements will now be delivered to the email account on file. Although payment by check will continue to be an option for business accounts, credit cards are still the easiest way to pay for your PublicData account. As a reminder, credit card payments earn a bonus of 100 free lookups for each use.

Important Search Technology Update

Publicdata.com is pleased to announce that over the next few weeks, we are upgrading our regular “Name Search” function to now include our “Advanced (Name Only)” search function. Our “Advanced (Name Only)” offers many advantages over the basic “Name Search”. It provides the flexibility to enter first and last names in any order while expanding the search results providing more records of interest. Also, the “Advanced (Name Only)” provides advanced search features like wild card searches and works far better for corporate names, single names, and other unformatted names.

For example, a search for Krist* can match both spellings, Kristin and Kristen (but also Kristie and Kristian).
Note: You cannot use a * or ? wildcard symbol as the first character of a search.

Additional information on advance search functions is available here

PublicData.com is Migrating to User Names

PublicData.com began operations nearly 30 years ago and was an early player in the functional use of the internet. As such, PublicData.com helped set many standards on how to make the internet more valuable than just the 'brochure net' that was popular at the time. However, since that time standards for userids/usernames have moved away from the use of personal information such as pre-existing account numbers, driver's licenses, social security numbers, etc. Instead, for privacy and ease of use, usernames are more and more often being defined by the customer and PublicData.com has decided to adopt this standard.

Effective March 08, 2016 PublicData.com will convert to using only a username and password for login. Unless contacted by PublicData.com directly, the Driver's License number or account name you currently use for logging in, along with your password, will be all you need to log in. In addition, once logged on, you may use the 'My Account' screen (under the 'Account Services' pull down) to set your username to one of your choosing.

PublicData.com now accepts Discover
